He’s smart. He’s lovable. He’s Dexter Morgan, America’s favorite serial killer who solves crimes by day and commits crimes by night. In season 8, Angel Batista was not always played by David Zayas. His son, David Zayas Jr., stands in for his father in some shots, as the two look remarkably similar. Throughout the first season, Dexter is seen with a large scar on his left side. Later, in season two, the scar migrated to his right side, leaving his left side intact. Dexter Morgan: I lived in darkness for a long time. Over the years, my eyes adjusted until the darkness became my world and I could see. Presented at the 64th Golden Globe Awards (2007). Main StoryWritten by Rolfe KentPerformed by Rolfe Kent. This will be my very first review on IMDb. Not a day goes by that I don’t check IMDb to see the reviews of the movies or TV series I watch. I watch a lot of movies and series. For the first time in my life, I couldn’t sleep after watching a series. I watched Prison Break, Heroes and many other series. The first season of Prison Break and Heroes was great. They inspired me so much that I got a few tattoos on my body. However, both series were canceled right after the next season. Heroes was a big disappointment, but DEXTER… OMG, one series after another makes me so curious about the next episode… damn, season 4. I just couldn’t sleep the whole night after watching it. I spent my weekend watching the episodes back to back. Let’s start with Dexter (Michael C. Hall), whose darkness was beyond measure. He played the role so well that sometimes I wonder if he is the same in real life. Then I learned that Debra Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter) is his real wife who plays his sister in this show. Damn, Debra is a character who is so confused and mostly controlled by the people around her that she always ends up doing something wrong but also always gets credit for the good things. I love the part where you get to know what goes on in Dexter’s head when he thinks about something or when someone talks to him and also the part where he talks to his dead father Harry. (He just thinks what his father would say in that situation). All the episodes/characters and all the seasons are so well written and acted that you can hardly find fault in them. My favorite characters are Dexter (pretty obvious), Rita and Vince Masuka, damn Vince is so funny, he just says one word in his whole episode and he’s already damn funny. I can’t wait for season 5 and I’m sure everyone who has watched Dexter feels the same way I do. (Sorry if my first review contains mistakes and hurts anyone’s feelings.)
